Just because my blog header flags two distinct interests - Christian education and sharing some of my photographs - I don’t have a split personality! They just happen to be two things that I am passionate about. And there are others of course, like my wife and family, and semi-retirement! (Yes, I’m what some might refer to as an “oldie”, but I hope “a goodie”). But on this site, I’ll focus mainly on the first two, and obviously, some of my other interests will come through in my sharing along the way. You will note that I said “semi-retired”. I still like to keep the mental cogs spinning in lecturing to teachers and teachers-to-be keen on developing as Christian professionals. Oh, yes, I’m an Aussie, and proud of it.
My son, Rob, has helped by setting up my blog. He’s a web developer at Visit Britain, a great photographer, and good to have around in matters “IT”. A link to his Flickr site with great photos is on my site.
My wife and I have recently returned from a wonderful six-week visit to Rob and his family in the the UK with side trips to Cornwall, the Cotswolds, Warwickshire, Northern Ireland, Bruges (Belgium), Prague (Czech Republic) and Narita (Japan). I love my Canon 300D (Rebel, to some) SLR digital camera, and needless to say, the recent trip produced hundreds, no, thousands of photographs. It is hard to choose from this lot, but over the next few weeks, I will be steadily posting some of them on my Flickr site.
So, here we go an a new venture! Thanks, Rob!
